CustomX, Press and arena

DTF, and more. At CustomX, the exhibition within the high-tech exhibition, the latest developments in digital printing celebrated their triumphs. However, for certain processes, screen printing and more traditional printing techniques remain essential. The experts' verdict? Knowing how to orient yourself in both worlds…

Space for presenting the machines and for demos. Training and discussion area on where the world of custom printing is going. A place of cross-fertilization between printers, customisers, and retailers, as well as distributors and professionals from the home and lifestyle sectors, coming from the adjacent exhibitions Quick&More, Milano Home, and Brand Power.

All this was CustomX, a hi-tech exhibit space within PTE 2025, whose core (evocatively renamed the “Arena”) came to life with a futuristic parade of machines showcasing all the industry's key technologies. As predicted, the latest frontier of digital printing stole the show , namely DTF, DTG, DTF UV and sublimation printers, brought to the exhibition by companies such as T-Shirt-Makers, Hurricane, Gian and Awservice (which made its debut in DTF with PTE and CustomX), as well as laser markers, with specialists such as Worklinestore covering the entire range of available technologies, from CO2 to fibre and UV.

There was, in any case, a good representation of the more traditional techniques, first and foremost screen printing, the protagonist in the Market Screentypographicstation, but also embroidery with professionals such as Embroidery Service, Gnoato Lino or Il Punto, whose Sin Sim “4 in 1” single-head professional embroidery machine was particularly appreciated, featuring a double special device for the application of beads and sequins at the same time and, last but not least, a laser device for cutting. It can be said that at CustomX both “halves of the customisation sky met”, which anyone who intends to establish themselves in this kind of market should know equally well. While the digital sphere has had the undisputed merit of “democratising” the printing market, making it accessible to all or almost all, traditional techniques still constitute an extraordinary reservoir for creativity. This is why training has been one of the core values of CustomX, as demonstrated by the seminars held by experts such as Angelo Barzaghi, as well as by the Creative Gym, the “gym” set up by Atelier della Stampa with machinery that tones and stimulates creativity rather than muscles, because “the wider the spectrum of printing techniques you master – explains Fabrizio Selis of Market Screentypographic/Atelier della Stampa – the more you are able to differentiate your offering with original proposals, thus gaining market share”.
